Dear Friends of Israel and “Or Tzion”,

Shalom shalom from the South of Israel, where Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were encamped, where the people of Israel have their beginnings. There our now wholly united family lives as well, watching the times, poised to do His will. We see lawlessness increase and the love of many grow numb. Nevertheless we know the Lord reigning over all the affairs of man. He is our Rock and Refuge, a sure hiding place in times of troubles. May He keep you steadfast and immovable in a tossing sea of evil.

It was the Nazi Holocaust, the loss of everything and a life of misery for being “Jewish” that caused me to turn away from G-d. I was unable to understand how G-d could allow the unfathomable evil of the Holocaust. I preferred to deny His existence, then man alone was to blame. At least this I could understand, for I knew from personal experience that the heart of man could be a deep pit of evil.

Now Israel is facing another evil of a magnitude many fail to grasp its reality². Once again I cannot understand why the people who have built their very existence upon faith in G-d’s covenant and promises are the ones to be uprooted and dispossessed. The urgent prayers of thousands seem not to move G-d to intervene. Yet outrageous gay parades are permitted in our streets, even in Jerusalem.

Formerly it were Gentile nations who expelled our people from their communities and dispossessed them, a frequent occurrence in Jewish history. Now we are confronted with it again --- but this time by our OWN government! The best of our people of whom the Scriptures speak, “As for the godly men and women in the land, they are the true nobility [true Jews], in whose company I delight”^3, are to be uprooted and dispossed - NOT evacuated! - from our OWN land G-d gave us by divine covenant. They are to be driven out -- by our OWN soldiers and police! Therefore G-d will multiply their sorrows for choosing to obey man rather than God⁴. 

For the Holy One of Israel declared long ago that the reunited nation (Judah and Israel) shall “swoop down upon the SHOULDER of the Philistines/  Palestinians in the West”⁵ and posess it. The whole Gaza stip looks exactly like a “shoulder”. 

Furthermore, the whole infrastructure built in 30 years is to be handed over to our enemies who hate us with never-ending enmity⁶Yas their price of victory for 4 years of terrorism.

 
 
 
 

This is utterly incomprehensible and outrageous! Democratic values have been cast aside! Instead, our government has adopted dictatorial measures to impose its will upon the people, even though an ever increasing majority is clearly against the Disengagement plan ⁷. Special jails have been prepared to confine opponents of the Plan who are being labeled “radicals” and “right-wing extremists” by the Media and Sharon’s stooges. The authorities have even created new facts on the ground in order to prosecute to the “full extent of the law” anyone resisting the disengagement. The army declared the whole Gaza strip a “military zone”, off limits for all civilians except for the local residents, to prevent them from joining the residents of Gush Kativ in support of their right to land, homes and infrastructure.
