Why Do The Nations Rage? | VOL. 53 * NEWSLETTER * FEB./MARCH 2006 |
Dear Friends of Israel and “Or Tzion”,
“Why do the Gentile nations rage and are in an uproar, and the peoples imagine and devise a VAIN and FUTILE thing? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together AGAINST the L-RD and His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break their bands asunder, tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!’”1
This Word, quoted in Acts 4:25-26, was fulfilled at the time of Yeshua’s arrest, and shall be again prior to His Second Coming. Why do the nations rage against Israel and the kings and rulers of the earth gather together and take counsel against the land and people of Israel and their capital, Jerusalem?
IT ALL HAS TO DO WITH THE LORD YESHUA’S SECOND COMING AS KING OF ISRAEL AND JUDGE OF ALL THE EARTH!
For this is how the Holy One of Israel answers the kings and rulers of the earth and the raging Gentile nations: “– as for Me, I have already installed My King upon Zion, My holy hill.”2
Indeed, all wish to do away with G-d’s laws and the Messianic Reign despite the fact that G-d has already determined what shall be. For example, nations refuse to acknowledge Jerusalem as the CAPITAL of Israel, putting their embassies in Tel Aviv instead. Israel is the sole country in the world whose capital is not acknowledged. Why?
This becomes plain in light of Zechariah 12:2-3 – “Yeshua shall return to Jerusalem.” Yeshua’s return is this event all hell is desperately trying to abort by turning the nations against Israel in attempt to annihilate her.
Only a small portion of Christianity has understood this and the consequences of not standing with Israel and her capital, Jerusalem.
How long will it be before man understands that his life is but a breath3 – it comes and goes – yet he acts as though he lives forever?
Each Israeli Prime Minister who acquiesced to the UN and American demand: “Bow down, that we may pass over you..”4 has been divinely removed from office. Beginning with Menachem Begin, the nations have made Israel’s “back like the ground and like the street for them to pass over…”, forcing her to sign agreements which violated G-d’s holy covenant He had confirmed with an oath5/a. But God cannot be mocked!
“G-d will punish all who do evil – G-d’s anger will be poured out upon them…on the Jew first and also on the Gentile.”6 G-d’s retribution for violating His covenant is more severe on the Jewish leader – it is Arik Sharon who lies comatose in hospital, not President Bush.
“The time has come for judgment to begin with the household of G-d; and if it begins with us, what will be the end of those who do not obey the Gospel of G-d?”7
Evangelist Pat Robertson, alone to speak the truth about Sharon’s demise, was castigated as having been “wholly inappropriate and insensitive and ill-timed”8. Yet, G-d never “waits” for convenience’s sake, nor do his prophets apologize for speaking His truth.
Jeremiah spoke God’s truth NOT when it was convenient but at a time when it was NEEDED. When G-d had meant for His rebellious people to escape with their lives by surrendering to the Chaldeans, it was His way of exercising mercy in judgment over the great apostasy of Jerusalem and Judah.
Yet Jeremiah was mistreated for his prophecy, for the Jewish leaders claimed that his words could never be from G-d9. Likewise was Pat Robertson punished. The Israeli Tourism Ministry, in reaction to his comments, cancelled a multi-million dollar joint tourism project with CBN of a Bible Theme Park near the Sea of Galilee.
Subsequently Pat Robertson apologized with a 2-page letter to Sharon’s son (under investigation for fraud). While Pat did not recant what he had said, he did say the timing of it was “inappropriate and insensitive.”
His apology grieved me. Did the loss of the $ 50 million Theme Park provoke this expression of regret? For on the heels of the apology, the project was confirmed.
Prior to all of this I had received a word for Pat Robertson. This was God’s charge to the Church at Ephesus: “They had fallen from their first love.”10
The Lord is indeed speaking to Pat with this message to the Ephesians!
In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina’s devastation of New Orleans, when churches across the nation outdid one another with rushing to the aid of this sinful city, I heard the Lord say: “If I were to overthrow Sodom and Gomorrah today, the churches would go and rebuild them.”
There is a dangerous misconception spreading as to G-d’s nature. As our heavenly Father, He practices steadfast love and faithfulness toward us, with much mercy, grace and compassion. Notwithstanding, He IS The Almighty, greatly to be feared, terrible and dreadful in judgment. Therefore the Scriptures tell of G-d’s discipline for those He loves11, warning that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living G-d12, and counselling, “The fear of the L-RD is the BEGINNING of WISDOM.”13

How true! And so the nation of Israel is that focal point in G-d’s plans and purpose because all hell is trying to destroy this nation. Messiah came from the Jewish people and Israel and to the Jewish people and Israel He will return. Satan fears and loathes this nation that G-d is using for his undoing.
“I want the ‘road map’ implemented without delay,” demanded President George W. Bush of Arik Sharon. This road-map was the Saudis’ idea, and this “Christian” President Bush chooses the Saudis over G-d’s covenant and standing with Israel.
“The Gaza-strip and the Westbank (Judea and Samaria) shall become the Palestinians’ independent state. All Jewish settlements within this area must be dismantled.”
“The 2-state solution is the way to peace in the Middle East…”
“There must be continuity for the Palestinian state.”
“We want the Palestinians hold free elections in East Jerusalem without Israeli interference!”
Thus President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice command Israel’s democratically elected government, telling the Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister, the Defense Minister and everyone else what to do, while turning East Jerusalem into the defacto capital of the future Palestinian state.
As Israel’s patriarch, Jacob, bowed before Esau (whom G-d hated14) calling him “lord”15 , likewise Jacob’s descendants continue to bow to the Ishmaels and Esaus of this world. But G-d called Abraham’s descendants through Isaac16.
The self-hating Jew17 has still not grasped that G-d’s election of Jacob is irrevocable18, that he is indeed G-d’s chosen and heir to the land, the covenants and the promises of G-d19. Instead, he aspires to be part of the family of nations, as well as being like them. But G-d’s Word says that this shall never be! Israel’s destiny is to be set apart from the Gentiles20. They may join Israel, but Israel may never join them21.

Once again the Palestinians have shown their true colors – terror, lying, deception and Israel’s destruction, for this is what Hamas has vowed to do (see their charter22). Read about the origins of “Hamas” at https://www.ortzion.org/images/news47_2.html.
Hamas is linked with Hizbullah, which is linked to Al-Quaida, supported by Iran and Syria, and financed by the Saudis, the main financial supporter of the PLO and Islamic terror groups. Al-Quaida has already bolstered their numbers in the Gaza strip, with Islamic Yihad numbering fourth in this brotherhood of terror.
Fatah and the Al-Aqsa Brigade (the “military” branches of the PLO/PA), have suddenly lost the leadership and the coffers of international donations. Already they are fighting each other and wreaking havoc. Scripture cannot be broken, and the day will come when “G-d will make Israel’s oppressors eat their own flesh, and they shall be drunk with their own blood as with wine.”23 Until then, Israel must abide with these terror groups as neighbors.
The US Government refuses to deal with Hamas until it renounces terrorism and acknowledges Israel. Sadly, Bush Sr. had ignored this standard U.S. policy when he made the PLO and Arafat socially and politically acceptable. Meanwhile, Arafat renounced all violence, accepted Israel’s right to exist, yet continued his reign of terror to replace Israel by a Palestinian state.
No doubt, today’s President Bush will also find ways to remove Hamas from the terror list and negotiate with it as the “viable government” of the Palestinian people and further “divide” Israel.
And who will form Israel’s new government everyone wonders? Will it be a government of U.S. “stooges” or of sovereign Jews? March 28th – on Annelore’s birthday – Israelis go to the polls. Will the President refrain from U.S. interference as he commanded Israel regarding Palestinian elections in East Jerusalem?
Although the Lord has actively warned the U.S. about the invasion of Islam24, neither church nor government has taken heed. Quite to the contrary, President George W. Bush hosted Islamic clerics in the White House at the onset of the fast of Ramadan. Islam has grown into a “tsunami” that will wreak destruction across the whole globe25.
Zech. 12:3However, G-d still gives reasons for His judgments that we may repent and G-d may, in turn, remove His judgment from us.
Praying only against disaster rather than against the root cause of it is like cutting off weeds above the ground while neglecting to uproot them.
While the sword of the Lord has been dangling over America since 1996, most Christians point out the many sins and evils within the American society (like abortion) as being the reason for these judgments. Unfortunately, they refuse to see the American part in the “Quartet” whereby they defy the Holy One of Israel and His Covenant with the land of Israel. The consequences for this defiance are disastrous26.

Because of the freedom of speech enjoyed in democracies these Moslems can freely rage, causing havoc, without having to fear for their lives. Why do European nations allow these violent protests? Ehud Olmert, non-elected “deputy prime minister” and President Bush’s new “stooge”27, does the job for Hamas by carrying out the “Quartet’s” demand to dismantle all “illegal” outposts in order to free G-d’s pastures28 for a Palestinian state.
Question: Would American citizens accept expulsion from their own communities upon order from the UN without resistance? This bloodbath was carried out by Jews against Jews upon orders from the White House and State Department.
Who needs enemies when one has “friends” like these?
Therefore — why, oh why, are prayers made against disasters, yet not against the President expelling Jews from their own land? Why fast and pray against disasters but not against the President’s implementation of the Saudis’ road map?
Effectual prayers of the righteous against the root cause might have stopped America’s disasters and eventual collapse. However:
“We would have healed Babylon but she was NOT healed. Forsake her and let us go each to our own country ; for her JUDGMENT HAS REACHED UP TO HEAVEN AND HAS BEEN LIFTED UP EVEN TO THE SKIES.”29
It would be redundant to reiterate what I have already repeatedly said regarding the consequences for America as she continues to pursue this 2 state policy on G-d’s covenanted soil, ”proudly defying the L-RD.”30
Jeremiah 50 and 51 evoke the image of modern America, and New York City with over 2 million Jews. “Come out of her, come home!”, is G-d’s call. And He declares, “Babylon must fall for the slain of Israel, as for Babylon have fallen the slain of all the earth.”31 For “Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify her strong height, yet destroyers would come FROM ME upon her, says the L-RD.”

Another “Christian” leader holding sway over many millions of Catholics has just been elected as the new Pope, Benedikt XVVI. Not only is he a BAVARIAN German (Bavaria was the hub of the most zealous Nazis), but also an ultra-conservative who wants to restore the Church of Rome to her “former glory” and Rome’s rule over Jerusalem. While soft-spoken and meek-mannered, he strongly resembles the great Inquisitor who ruthlessly “interrogated” all who opposed Rome. Could he be the last pope, believed by many millions to represent and speak on behalf of the Lamb of G-d, while actually speaking on behalf of Satan?35His predecessor visited Israel and signed covenantal agreements with Israel — AND the PLO36. As “representative of Christ” he had no qualms to meet with Yeshua’s and Israel’s sworn enemy, Yasser Arafat. What then will this pope do?
To which Jerusalem will the King of Israel return – to a Catholic one, an Islamic one, or to the capital of His people and nation, Israel?
The days of slumbering and compromise are long past. We must stand firm and take action, although doing so may cost some of us our lives37. The winnowing fork is in the Lord’s hand, ready to separate the wheat from the chaff, preparing the former for glory and the latter for eternal fire.
We must choose whom we will believe – G-d or Satan? With whom will we side – with the truth or with a lie and compromise? And what path will we opt for — the broad way where many people walk, or that narrow, difficult trail few are taking?
Let us take a firm stand for truth. The broad way of ease and compromise leads to destruction, but the narrow path of uncompromising truth and love of the Lord leads to life.
Choose this day whom you will follow – and choose life!

the dismantling of the Jewish state and the creation of a Palestinian state on its ruins, fell and
broke his hip, after which he could barely walk. His wife died shortly thereafter, his
government folded and he retreated into seclusion.
Anwar Sadat, the co-signer of these ill-advised accords, was assassinated while
Jimmy Carter, under whose Presidency the United States reached one of her lowest points
in modern history, failed to get re-elected.
2. Yitzhak Shamir, the last Zionist of the old guard, tried to withstand the pressure but
succumbed to Bush Senior’s demands to participate at the Madrid Conference (which
further weakened Israel’s position as a sovereign nation) and to act as a sitting duck during
the first Gulf war. Shamir failed to get re-elected.
3. Yitzhak Rabin, former warrior, Chief of Staff and Prime Minister during the days of the
Entebbe raid. He allowed for American President, Bill Clinton, the EU and the UN to walk
all over Israel. In defiance of G-d’s oath and covenant to Abraham concerning the Land,
Rabin gave away Jericho (part of tribal inheritance of Benjamin), Bethlehem (the city of
David and birthplace of Yeshua; once prosperous and peaceful under Israeli administration
but now a war zone under the PA’s rule), Ramallah (belongs to tribe of Judah) and
Shechem/Shiloh (where the Tabernacle was set up; today known as Nablus). He signed
away Hebron as well, the “birthplace” of the Jewish people¥. Aiming to please the
American President rather than G-d, he gave up land for peace and brought terrorism to
heights unheard of until that time.
While Genesis 15:17-21 was being read in every synagogue, Yitzhak Rabin was
shot and killed*.
4. Benjamin Netanyahu§ withstood Bill Clinton, the UN and EU and so became Israel’s most
unpopular Prime Minister abroad. Consequently, he became the victim of a political
“assassination”i (of which G-d had warned him in advance) by his own country-men who
lobbied in Washington (i.e. in a foreign country) against him.
Then Netanyahu honored Rabin’s signing away of Hebron by relinquishing it to the
Palestinians±. As a result, 73 of Israel’s best young soldiers died and Netanyahu lost his
premiership.
5. Ehud Barak so courted President Bill Clinton and Yasser Arafat, that he offered the Golan
as well as large areas surrounding Jerusalem w. His government crumbled after only 2 years.
6. Arik Sharon, “man of steel”, was considered the man who could resist pressure. Sharon
proved even more willing than all his predecessors to sacrifice the covenanted land and his
people’s livelihood in acquiescence of American, UN and EU demands. As those who

The Time of Restoration of ALL things is NOW according to Joel 2:25-29
