Self-Defense is an Inalienable Right

I remember President George W. Bush declaring, “A terror attack against one American is like attacking all Americans!”, and promising severe reprisals.

Yet at the G8 summit, while acknowledging Israel’s “right to self-defense”, the President urged restraint. What restraint, may I ask, was shown when, unprovoked, US forces blasted Afghanistan and Iraq, pulverizing everything they hit?

Had America’s cities been struck by Afghanistan and Iraq? Did they send hijacked planes into the WTC towers and the Pentagon? And where are Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction – the reason given to justify invading this sovereign nation?

What would be America’s response if Cuban missiles bombarded American cities?

Israel is being attacked within her sovereign territory and is fighting to survive. Hizballah, a terror organization tolerated by the Lebanese government, is striking Israel from within Lebanon. This is a clear act of war and demands retaliation. We can no longer kowtow to the nations who say “Bow down, Israel, that we may pass over you,” and Israel’s leaders have made our nation’s back like the ground and like the street for the nations and their interests to pass over us3.As is written in G-d’s Word, blessing and prosperity come from standing WITH the Jews and their nation, from supporting and blessing them. This is for G-d’s sake and for the sake of His Son, Who is from the Jews and Who will return to the Jews!Those who oppose the Jews will reap catastrophies, destruction and downfall, as is written in G-d’s Word..President Bush has vowed to fight terrorism to the end, yet tells Israel to show restraint in the face of annihilation. What a horrific double standard!

However, as of present news, the Bush administration has rushed a delivery of precision-guided bombs to Israel, which requested the expedited shipment last week after beginning its air campaign against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. And Secretaty of State, Condoleezza Rice, voiced her support of Israel’s actions against the Hizballah, clarifying that a “ceasefire” would only return the situation to the status quo with nothing changed for the better. She explained to Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora that if the violence between Israel and Hizbullah fighters in Lebanon ends only to restart within weeks, “then all of the carnage that Hizbullah launched [i.e. in Lebanon and Israel] by its illegal activities, abducting the soldiers and then launching rocket attacks, we will have gotten nothing from that.”

But international voices, especially of the UN, are accusing Israel of excessive military force for mere two abducted soldiers, failing to state that Israel’s actions are in retaliation for the katjusha rockets fired into Israel.

Lebanese civilians are being killed and buildings destroyed because the Lebanese government once again allowed a terror organization to entrench itself into Lebanese territory, into dense civilian population centers as had been done previously by the PLO. Like the PLO, Hizballah has formed a state within a state, terrorizing the Lebanese population and attacking Israel’s north. When Israel had no choice but to take action against the PLO for the protection of Israel’s citizen, Israel was hailed as liberators by the Lebanese people. Israel had almost finished off the PLO when the international community, with Ronald Reagan in the lead, forced a ceasefire upon Israel. The PLO terrorists left triumphantly a badly hurt Lebanon.

Hizballah has been planning this war for six years ever since Israel left southern Lebanon. Why did the Lebanese government not send its army against this terror organization, disarm, dismantle and drive them out before they could entrench themselves? The blame for the present war and destruction should be squarely placed at the feet of the Lebanese government, not at Israel’s feet!

Pray, beloved, pray for G-d to station His warrior angels round about Israel and her cities, to protect Israeli soldiers (particularly those who are called by His Name), and safeguard our nation – for HIS Name’s sake. Pray for enlightenment among the nations as to Israel’s eliminating Hizballah. Israel must succeed (also for the sake of the Lebanese people), or terrorism will terrorize even more.

Hizballah is Shiite! The south of Lebanon has become a Shiite territory! Hamas is Shiite! Islamic Yihad is Shiite! The Iranian leaders are Shiite! Ayatollah Khomeini was Shiite and turned Iran upside down. It was he who fueled fanatic Islam, the shedding of innocent blood in the name of Allah! The Iraqi Imams who label America’s forces “occupiers” and call upon the “faithful” to give themselves to martyrdom like their beloved Hussain and shed the blood of the American “infidels” are Shiites!

The Western and Shiite’ mind is as far apart from each other as morning from evening, as east from west. When will the West grasp that “negotiations” with the dispised infidels is only viewed as “weakness”? Deceiving and tricking the “corrupt” Westerners and killing them wherever possible alone justifies the “negotiating table” for this Islamic mindsetⁱ.

Tammuz – A Month of Affliction

From God’s viewpoint, “The nations have already sunk in the pit [of destruction] which they made [for Israel]; and in the net [of political plots and schemes] which they hid has their own foot been caught. For by these things the Lord will make Himself known; He has executed judgment and the wicked are snared in the work of their OWN hands.”⁷

Powerful men (including heads of state and leaders of nations) seek the demise of Israel. Their minds conceive evil, their hearts are pregnant with mischief, and their mouths utter lies. They make a pit [for the Jews and their nation], digging it out [with secret schemes and plots], and fall into the hole they have made [by the justice of G-d]. Their mischief returns upon their own head, and on their own pate their violence descends⁸.

Yes, our G-d is a righteous judge, Who has indignation EVERY day!⁹

Check regularly the Israeli Government’s Official Website, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for updates and some very eye opening videos about Hizballah’s practice to hide in civilian population centers.

Terror has been part of Israeli life even before its declaration of independence. As Jews, escaping pogroms and Nazi concentration camps, began to drain the swamps and plow and sow the barren plots of land bought from Arab sheiks and landlords, local Arabs staged raids against them at night, or fell upon their settlements while the men and women were out in the fields. But terror remained an isolated force directed mainly against Israel. However, while the world hindered Israel in fighting Palestinian terror and instead rewarded their aggression with more and more Israeli concessions, terrorism has spread like gangrene. It can no longer be contained or eradicated.

We are presently in the month of Tammuz, a calamitous month for Israel. The reason for this is found in Exodus 23:13, where G-d commanded His people “you shall not make mention of the NAMES of other gods, nor let such be HEARD out of your mouth.” The cult of Tammuz is a satanic counterfeit of the person and sacrificial life of the Son of G-d, Yeshua the Messiah. The Tammuz cult incorporated festivals of his death (funeral offerings with lamentation and weeping) and resurrection (offerings of every sort of vegetation).

Pray the Word prayers given on the “Watchmen” pages as G-d’s Word shall most certainly not return void but accomplish that for which it is sent. Together let us decree and declare His Word concerning this situation and the name of Tammuz. Let us also agree in prayer that the name of this particular month will be changed to a name that will bring blessing, abundance, salvation, and joy.

Israel is being attacked from the north and south, and our reservists are being called up. While rockets from Lebanon rain down on our cities, killing and wounding Israeli civilians, CNN reports on “harassed” Palestinians, “targeted” for “only 1” kidnapped Israeli soldier and on the “unbearable suffering” of the Lebanese forced underground or to evacuate. This is unacceptable! Who started this war, unprovoked? Let them cast the stone on Hizballah one courageous Lebanese woman in an interview with Israel’s #2 TV channel called “a cancer”, and not on Israel defending her very existence!

CNN’s days are numbered!

I write this letter not merely as some report of latest news but am attempting to let you see both into the hearts of Israelis as well as into mine. My letters are above all “personal” in order to enable you, the reader, to identify with us. Messiah Yeshua identified with His people, for whatever is done to the least of these His brethren is done unto Him¹⁴. And because Yeshua lives in me¹⁵ I identify as well with His compassion and stand in the gap¹⁶ for His – my – people with much prayer, tears and intercession. I believe, as G-d’s children and co-priests with Yeshua it is our very mission to intercede in behalf of others, especially for His people Israel.

But I myself, as a child of G-d¹⁷, am at peace, without fear, worry and anxiety.

Congress to Vote on Resolutions Strongly Backing Israel’s Right to Self-Defense –

Call Members of Congress ASAP and Urge Them to Vote FOR the Resolutions!

With Israeli communities such as S’derot, Ashkelon, Kiryat Shmonah, Nahariya, Akko, Haifa and others being hit with rockets fired by Hamas and Hizballah, the House and Senate are expected on Tuesday to vote on bipartisan resolutions reaffirming Congress’ unwavering support for Israel. The resolutions will strongly back the Jewish state’s right to defend herself and to take steps beyond its borders to deter further aggression by the terrorist groups and their state sponsors, Iran and Syria.

The resolutions demand complete implementation of U.N. Security Council 1559, which requires Hizballah be dismantled and the departure of all foreign militias – including the remaining Syrian personnel and Iranian Revolutionary Guards – from Lebanon. The House and Senate resolutions also call for the full weight of American financial, diplomatic, and economic sanctions to be imposed on Syria and Iran.

The resolutions, sponsored by the leadership of both parties in the House and the Senate, also call for the immediate and unconditional release of the Israeli soldiers being held by Hamas and Hizballah and hold the governments of Syria, and Iran responsible for these acts of aggression against Israel.

Please call your Members of Congress and urge them to vote FOR these resolutions, showing American support for the State of Israel, and to speak out on Israel’s behalf. Members can be reached through the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121.

NOW is the time for prayer AND action! NOW is the time of salvation! Let us not remain passive but stand ON the Word of G-d and WITH the L-RD, His inheritance, People, Land and city!

Only the Almighty, the Holy One of Israel, knew where this book was hidden. He alone could cause it to be found at the precise time when Arab League members such as Iran and Syria are supplying the terrorist organization Hizballah in Lebanon with weapons to war against Israel. The declared aim of Iran’s “supreme leader” is the destruction of Israel, who announced – unaware of the words in Psalm 83 – that with the help of Allah Israel would be wiped off the map.

Obviously the Holy One of Israel is making a strong statement here that He is watching over Israel and hearing the threats to her existence by Israel’s neighbors. He knows of their plots to “take possession for themselves of the pastures of G-d.” And He will do to these nations (see their present-day representation as listed in the Watchmen Prayer page 6) as is written in Psalm 83. Hizballah¹⁹ will eventually “eat dust” just as she suggests in her “open letter“.

USA Today and ABC purposefully avoided mentioning this book having been found open to Psalm 83, just as almost all international news stations (with perhaps the exception of FOX News) give only a lopsided, anti-Israel image of Israel’s war against Hizballah in Lebanon. Reports by Jewish Messianic Israelis are undoubtedly the most trustworthy, as they are not tainted with a “politically correct” mindset but report both from immediate insight on the ground and from a Sriptural perspective. The true meaning of what the text reveals, they say, has been quite literally lost in translation. “[We] would like to highlight that the text visible on the manuscript does NOT refer to wiping out Israel but to the ‘vale of tears’ (‘valle lacrimum’),” the officials said.
